2019 Tim Steele Scholarship Recipient

Congratulations to our 2019 Tim Steele Memorial Scholarship to Victoria Williams of Friona, Tx.

Victoria’s passion for helping others was overwhelmingly clear when we reviewed her history. Just to name a few of her activities…
Snack Pak 4 Kids, Kids building camp, Friona annual cheeseburger festival, Friona Chamber Banquet, Toys for Tots, organizer of the Little Miss Friona cupcake party, gathered and delivered donations not only for the Hartley House (a shelter for domestic violence victims) but put together care bags for chemotherapy patients. She has also participated in Friona Maize Days events, trunk or treat, Christmas in the park, Easter in the park, Prairie Acres Nursing Home and local preschool Valentine’s Day parties. In addition to all of these she also helped to found a local animal rescue shelter called Parmer Paws, she is a talented pianist and she was crowned Miss Friona in 2018.

Victoria was homeschooled. She plans to start classes this summer at Clovis Community College to pursue her degree in nursing.

Victoria is the daughter of Billy and Stephanie Williams

Friday Night Lights: Miracle in the Making

What a difference a year makes!! Last night some of our board members drove out to Slaton to watch Xavier play football again. For those not familiar with his story, on October 23, 2015 Xavier collapsed in cardiac arrest during football game. He was resuscitated and has had a long journey to recovery. He is the driving reason we formed our organization.  We are determined to prevent sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) in athletes such as Xavier. While Xavier’s return did not bring a win for his team (Slaton lost to Floydada) we are so thankful that Xavier was able to make a full recovery and get back to the sport he loves. Here are some photos from last night.
